We are looking for a vice principal who is ambitious, has strong leadership qualities, and motivational personality. Duties
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the school, ensuring alignment with educational goals and standards.
Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional practices that promote student learning, including assessment practices and extracurricular programs, to ensure a well-rounded education.
Manage the school’s budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to support educational initiatives.
Foster a positive school climate that encourages collaboration among staff, students, and parents.
Help in Recruiting, mentoring, and supporting a team of talented educators while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Evaluate staff performance regularly, providing constructive feedback and opportunities for professional development.
Engage with the community to build partnerships that enhance educational opportunities for students.
Ensure the school meets and exceeds all BC Ministry of Education requirements, including successfully preparing for and conducting ministry inspections
Ensure the school meets all compliance with all local, province, and federal regulations related to education.
Lead efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school environment.
Other duties as deemed necessary by the school board for the role.
Qualifications
A degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
A valid BC teaching certificate and leadership experience in a high school setting.
Proven expertise in curriculum development, staff management, and student-focused leadership.
Deep understanding of BC Ministry of Education policies, Independent School Act regulations, and inspection requirements.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
A commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community.
